Myth Conflict
Just like any other myth, my myth has a conflict. The conflict is partially mine, and partially Wu Kang's. In this particular myth, like I said, I am a toad living on the moon because I stole the elixir of immortality. This counts as conflict because I do not want to be a toad, and also want to get off the moon. The other part of the conflict has to do with Wu Kang. He is on the moon because of errors he made against the unseen world of the spirits. He does not change into a toad, but he is made to cut down the cassia tree on the moon as punishment. This is an impossible task because the cassia tree has the power to grow forever, in other words, all cuts made toward it immediately heal. So Wu Kang and I both are stuck on the moon, me in the form of a toad and him with an assignment that cannot be done. These conflicts might not seem that horrible, but they truly are to us. We get lonely and just want to go back before we were punished.
Could you not keep each other company?
ReplyDeleteAtleast your punishments aren't like where I come from. In Egypt, wrong doers are punished by being devoured or thrown in a lake of fire after they die.
